Caain da Noosts Family Activities
Regretfully, as a consequence of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have suspended all face to face community engagement activity. However, we are excited to invite you to take part in our new, online, community project, Caain da Noosts and we have created a downloadable family activity pack to go with it! Preview the family activity pack here or download it below:
Shoreside, Bridge of Walls, Shetland
We recorded a noost at Shoreside during the summer of 2019 ahead of demolition for the construction of a boat shed. The report has been submitted to the Shetland Historic Environment Record, held by the Shetland Amenity Trust in Lerwick, and is available to read and download here. It covers both the structure of the noost and our archival research associated with it.
We have uploaded this as an open-access document, if you find it useful then please buy Esther and Marc a coffee.
